In March 2020 I worked for about a week at a little sculptors place in the middle of Ubud on Bali. The sculptor gave me a piece of hibiscus wood and I could use his tools to carve the face. It was a very inspiring experience especially because of the heat and the position I was working in; like a yogi with my legs crossed on the floor. But I loved it. The result is nor a mask nor a face, something in between. Like everything I created in Bali it became a fusion of both worlds; West and East.
